“A Year-end Message”

With many things yet to do before Christmas day comes, I wanted to post one last time before I take leave for the year.  I have only just begun to blog, and already, I can feel the changes—in my writing, and in myself.

With the coming new year, I’ll have even more to write about, in addition to that of which I could write about now.  I’m going to continue writing and submitting to Chicken Soup for the Soul, but I also have my own book coming out next year.  My goal is to finish it by the end of May, and have it ready for publication in June.  School lets out in May, so the timing seems perfect, and with the coming year, comes changes!

This year has certainly been about changes.  Changes in ourselves, changes in others, and changes in society.  I am a better person because of what I’ve learned this year, and I’m looking forward to what the new year has to bring.  I’m going to do things I’ve never considered doing before, like writing a fandom letter to my favorite artist.  I would never do this before because it felt like a complete waste of time, but somewhere, there’s a little boy, and he mowed the White House lawn for President Trump, and met President Trump, because he wrote the President a letter.  He was given an experience he will never forget.  If that little boy can write a letter offering to mow the President’s lawn, then I can certainly send a fandom letter to someone I idolize—even at my age!

So, this is it until next year.  I’ll be back, posting regularly, beginning Monday, January 1st.  Isn’t that convenient that a new calendar year would begin on a Monday?  When’s the chances of that happening again?  Anyway, have a very Merry Christmas, and a safe and Happy New Year!  Thanks for reading!
